» Skool Disco...Top Marks
30th March 2010
Many thanks to all of those who attended the Skool Disco on Friday night, and to everyone who donated cash or prizes for the raffle. We are sure that, despite the low attendance, everyone there enjoyed themselves and it certainly gives the Trust food for thought on where to go from here. As one wag said on the night; we had quality, not quantity, and the effort put into dressing up and taking part was second to none.

Well done to Peter Telfer on his d&#eacute;but event. It was a baptism of fire and now he knows just how difficult it can be when you have to face the levels of apathy that surrounds not only our Football Club but the Scottish game in general - not to mention the economic downturn we have encountered as well. Initial figures show that we have done slightly better than break even due to the generosity of our members and sponsors and some shrewd budgeting by the board. The response to the raffle was excellent too, which could actually see us turn a small profit.

For the benefit of Trust members, the board will now look into the reasons why there were such low numbers in attendance given that the event was more widely advertised than the the 80's Nite (which sold out) and dropped the price by a fiver as well. Our small profit margin could have been a large profit margin with more people and so we will re-visit the planning stages and see if there is anything we could have done differently to get more bodies there.
