» Stand Up (If You Love Killie) 5
11th July 2012

On Friday the 24th of August Stand Up (If You Love Killie) is back in more ways than one!

Following a night taking the show on the road at Centrestage last November we are back home in the Player Sports Bar at Rugby Park for our fifth big night, and to mark the occasion we have imaginatively named the night Stand Up (If You Love Killie) 5. Our motto - if it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Further to that, we have our very own Ayrshire Comedy genius Billy Kirkwood back by popular demand. The hardest working man in showbiz can be found doing stand up throughout the UK, children's TV, colour commentary on ICW and co-hosting Scotland's only FM wrestling show. On the night Billy will be MCing for us, steering a pretty mental ship for your entertainment.

On the bill with him will be Pat Rolink, who has been on the circuit for ten years and describes himself as a comedian and raconteur. The likeable comic has entertained audiences in Britain and abroad and also works for Albion Rovers? (We won't hold it against him). Further to Pat we have Tommy Reid who may just take us on his journey from being a young guy from Paisley to a married man with kids. He really is a razor sharp act. We also have Neil Bratchpiece from the Bratchpiece family, who are actually Scotland's only family of stand ups. You may know Neil better as his alter ego - “The Wee Man” - so maybe no more needs to be said there. Finally we have local fella and Trust board member John Speirs, who has taken to our stage before and got enough laughs to get him back, though "back by popular demand" might be taking it all a bit far. It's a truly jam packed line up and promises to be another belter of a night.

The price is the same as usual at £15 per person and for that you get a great night, plenty of laughs and some grub. All money raised goes towards helping fundraise for The Killie Trust as we continue to do work with Youth football and the local community. Tickets are now available and can be purchased by calling 07429615232 or at the Trust Desk which is situated in the Park Hotel on match days when the close season is over.

For the first time you can also purchase tickets on Eventbrite and pay via Paypal.

Thanks for your support and hope to see you there.
