» Killie Trust Update |
|
5th April 2009 |
With the winter now behind us and summer on the way it’s time to update you on what we’ve been working on during the cold winter months.
The Killie Trust’s Fifty for the Future campaign has continued to contribute significantly towards the youth development system and allowed the club to further invest in this important area. FFTF has now provided funding for the last four years since it was formed in 2005/06; not only has this funding ensured that the Football Club managed to retain the coaches and staff necessary for the success of the youth system, but also that talented young players have been secured by the Club and we look forward to seeing these players coming through to the first team on a regular basis.
Our annual ‘Fifty for the Future’ fund raiser this year will be a night to remember…or more to the point a decade to remember! 80’s NITE will be taking place on Friday, 29th May in the Park Hotel with tickets priced at just £15 per person including an auction, raffle, great entertainment and a buffet fit for the Betamax age thrown in.
Dress the part for the occasion, recreate your favourite fashion faux pas and you could be in with a chance of winning a fantastic prize! See flyer below for more info on the event.
After last year’s successful community bursary, the initiative was launched again this year offering local groups the chance to get a share of the £2,000. Last year 14 groups were successful in obtaining awards and we’ll be announcing this year’s lucky recipient’s in the coming weeks.
The Killie Trust Golf Challenge Cup will be held on August 11th at Kilmarnock Barassie Golf Club with twenty teams taking part in a four ball betterball competition. The day costs £400 per team (four people) and includes breakfast, a round of golf, dinner, raffle and prizes throughout the day! All funds raised go to Fifty For the Future.
If you are interested in entering a team then please contact our marketing manager, Lisa Stevenson by email on .
If anyone is interested in helping the Killie Trust by either joining the board or simply lending a hand for a few hours at events or at the Trust desk at home matches then please get in touch by contacting us as indicated above and we’ll get back to you.
