1. When was the trust established?
The Kilmarnock Supporters' Society Ltd. was constituted in May 2003 however the working title will be the "Killie Trust". The Trust held a launch event in August 2003 and held its first general meeting on the 15th of January 2004.
2. How does the membership operate?
Adult membership costs £12 part of which pays for one share in The Kilmarnock Supporters' Society Ltd. The share is yours but to maintain the voting rights you must pay your annual membership of £12. Some members may be in a position to donate further money to the Trust but regardless of the contribution every member will have only one vote. The Trust will also have a junior membership at £5 per year however junior members are not able to vote. The Trust has an annual renewal date for all members on 1 August.
3. How can I get involved?
Come along to the Trust membership desk in the Park Hotel at Rugby Park before and after home games and sign up or fill out the form on the back of this leaflet and post it to us. You can also come along to one of our open meetings held every three months or so and have a chat with us there. We are always looking for volunteers.
4. Can I join the Killie Trust Board?
Nominations for board members are taken before the Trust AGM every year. The Trust constitution requires that the board also has at least 2 co-opted members to help in certain areas.
5. What are co-optees?
The Trust are required by its rules to co-opt at least two members on to the Trust board. These co-optees are chosen because of their skills in a particular area.
6. How can the Trust have a say in Kilmarnock FC?
Many Supporters' Trusts at other clubs have representation on their club board and this is one of our aims. Several clubs in England are now actually owned by their Trusts. A strong Killie Trust can have a huge influence on our club.
7. Can the Trust help me buy Shares in Kilmarnock Football Club?
To help members of the Trust buy shares in Kilmarnock Football Club the Trust have started what's know as a Sharesave Scheme. This scheme allows members to save a minimum of £5.00 per month by standing order until they have built up sufficient funds to buy a block of shares in Kilmarnock Football Club. Members who buy shares in Kilmarnock Football Club will be able to proxy these shares to the Trust and together we will have a stronger voice.
8. How will the Trust keep members up to date with what's happening?
The Trust have arranged to have regular updates in the Kilmarnock Standard and the Killie E-mail newsletter. There is also this website and there is also a Killie Trust Forum open at the www.killiefc.com website.

The Trust have set a number of targets for 2004, some of these include: -

- To have at least 500 members in the Trust by the end of the year.
- To have at least 25 Corporate members by the end of 2004.
- Every quarter the Trust will hold open meetings and issue a Newsletter to every member.
- To have at least 50 members in the Sharesave Scheme.
10. How many people have joined the Killie Trust?
As of 31 December 2003 we had around 350 members. Our target of at least 500 members by the end of 2004 would represent about 10% of the season ticket holders at the club. Our ultimate aim is to get everyone who cares about Kilmarnock Football Club to join the Killie Trust.
11. How will the money raised be spent?
The Trust membership will decide how the money raised is used. Other Trusts used the money to buy shares and help youth development in the local community amongst other things.

No - the club is supportive of The Killie Trust but it is completely independent of the club. We are keen to establish a working relationship with the club but the Trust membership and the Trust board will make all decisions about the Trust.
